本届短片单元中，家庭与亲情是最重要的主题之一。父子关系、亲子陪伴、家庭离散、亲人的离去与重新连接，反复出现在不同作品中；与此同时，校园欺凌、身份认同、孤独、偏见与社会环境也成为儿童成长过程中无法回避的现实。另一些作品则将视线伸向自然、乡村生活、传统文化与非遗传承，让儿童电影不只发生在城市和校园，也进入更广阔的生活现场。

在题材之外，入选作品既有现实主义叙事，也有奇幻、寓言、动画、纪录片式表达以及高度凝练的单一场景作品。有的将故事浓缩在一次校车旅程、一次生日、一次葬礼或一场骑行中；有的则借助魔法、动物、神话与儿童想象，将现实经验转化为具有电影感的世界。

我们也有意保留儿童经验中的复杂性。孩子可以讨论死亡，可以面对家庭冲突，可以经历失去、孤独和偏见，也可以思考身份、自我与社会的关系。儿童电影不应只负责提供快乐和教育，更应该允许孩子在银幕上看到真实的自己，并通过电影认识那些尚未经历、却真实存在于世界中的人生。

In this year’s short film selection, family and emotional bonds emerge as one of the most prominent themes. Father-child relationships, parent-child companionship, family separation, the loss of loved ones, and attempts to reconnect recur throughout the films. At the same time, school bullying, identity, loneliness, prejudice, and social environments become realities that children cannot always avoid while growing up. Other films turn their attention to nature, rural life, traditional culture, and intangible cultural heritage, taking children’s cinema beyond cities and classrooms and into a wider range of lived experiences.

In terms of form, the selection encompasses realist narratives as well as fantasy, fables, animation, documentary-style storytelling, and highly condensed single-location films. Some stories unfold within a school bus journey, a birthday, a funeral, or a bicycle ride; others use magic, animals, mythology, and children’s imagination to transform everyday experiences into distinctive cinematic worlds.

We have also chosen to preserve the complexity of childhood experience. Children can talk about death, confront family conflicts, and experience loss, loneliness, and prejudice. They can also question identity, the self, and their relationship with society. Children’s cinema should not be limited to providing entertainment or education. It should also allow children to recognize their own experiences on screen, while discovering lives and realities they may not yet have encountered but that genuinely exist in the world.
